Scaling the Highest Peak: Kalsubai Trek Guide

Published: 15 Jun 2026 Author: Eagle Coy Team

Scaling the highest peak in Maharashtra is an adventure that every trekking enthusiast in India looks forward to. At 1,646 meters, the Kalsubai summit stands tall, offering unmatched bird's-eye views of Bhandardara, Arthur Lake, and the neighbouring forts like Alang, Madan, and Kulang.

Trek Difficulty and Route

The trek is classified as Moderate. It starts from Bari village and takes around 3.5 to 4 hours to reach the summit. While the trail is rocky, iron ladders installed at the steepest rock patches make the climb manageable for fit beginners.

Best Time to Visit

The monsoon (June to September) offers lush greenery and foggy peaks. Winter (October to February) provides clear skies and pleasant climbing temperatures, perfect for stargazing nights.
